Our Vision His Light

Our eyes see the light from the sun and our minds see the Light from the Son, Jesus. Both help to brighten and enlighten our lives and those around us. We use our vision to perceive the world and move towards God's Light.

We can all experience blindness. Simply enter a room in your house without any light, close the door and try using your vision to manoeuvre around the room.

Without light in the world, nobody sees and we have no vision of what things look like or how to manoeuvre around our world as we move forward.

Light is not essential to all life, as demonstrated by many blind creatures in the world. Light isn’t even essential to the life of people who live in the light, as blind people can often adapt to and thrive with their disability and in their environment.

Light is essential to seeing and vision. Seeing is the ability to visualize things which reflect light. Humans use vision to help us perceive the world and manoeuvre it.

The human mind sees a different, but similar light. This Light is the light of enlightenment. It also helps us perceive the world and manoeuvre it. It’s different than the light from our sun, yet it’s similar in that it lights up our lives and those around us.

Our eyes adapt to changing lighting conditions, but not instantly, it takes time. Our minds adapt to enlightenment, but slowly over time. If we go from a dark room to the bright light of a sunny day and open our eyes wide, it will be uncomfortable. We must slowly open our eyes to the bright light.

If we go from dark places in our minds and try to become enlightened too fast, it’s uncomfortable. We must open our minds slowly to God’s Light.

God’s Light is never given to us too quickly. There’s no crash course in God’s Love. It takes time for perfection and we have much to learn.

Perhaps, the best thing to learn about God’s Light is the difference between vision and light.

Vision is something that people typically possess. But, people do not possess the Light. The light of our eyes comes from the sun and the enlightenment of our minds comes from God’s Light, the Light that He creates through His Word. By God’s Word, Light came into the world through Jesus. Jesus tells us, “I am the Light of the World” – John 8:12.

God created our eyes to see the world and our minds to see Him. The shocking thing is when people close their eyes to the light and their minds to God. Those who have eyes should see. Those enlightened should be aware. But, without a clear vision, we stumble around and fall short as we try to adapt to our enlightened environment.

With a little patience, we can adapt our eye’s vision to the brighter light in this world and our mind’s vision to the brighter Light of life in the next world.

The brightest Light of all is God. The brightest decision we can make is God. God is the greatest enlightenment for our minds. The best vision we can have is of God!

We all have the power of vision. The power of Light is God.

Jesus is lighting the way for us all to adapt to His way of Light and Life.

Let’s all adapt our vision to His Light.
